Kurigram district

Kurigram is a district in the northern part (Nearby border) of the country. The area of the district is 2245.04 sq km. It is bounded on the north by Cooch Behar district of West Bengal, on the south by Gaibandha district, on the east by Dhubri and Tura hill districts of Assam and Meghalaya, on the west by Lalmonirhat and Rangpur districts. The international border is 26.28 km.

Geology - Riverine silt flat lands and chars. Main rivers - Brahmaputra, Dharla, Teesta, Dudhkumar, Phulkumar, Sonavari, Jinjiram, Gangadhar, Halhalia. Besides, Nilkamal, Sealdah, Kaljani, Jalchira, Sankosh, Boalmari and Dharani rivers have flowed through this district.
